Avião de Israel pousa no Sudão

A private Israeli plane landed at Khartoum International Airport yesterday morning after a telephone call between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sudan’s Sovereignty Council President Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan,  Arab48 said .

According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi , a medium-sized, twin jet Hawker 800 aircraft, with registration number N84UP, arrived at the main airport in the African state.

The report, however, did not provide any information about the purpose of the flight and who was on board.

Netanyahu told the office that he had spoken to Al-Burhan to wish him a good holiday at Eid Al-Fitr.

Earlier this year, an Israeli plane flew through Sudanese airspace for the first time after a meeting between Netanyahu and Al-Burhan, held in Uganda.

Sudan has historically been among Israel’s fiercest opponents. There were never any official relations between Israel and the Arab countries, except Egypt and Jordan, which signed peace treaties with the state of occupation.
